A San Francisco Sunday morning began with sunshine and no fog. That was a bonus. Here are a couple of pics of the Presido in the very early morning hours.

Santa Barbara is On Fire

Just before sunset a cloud formation unexpectively rolled in. As I looked out the window, I saw a huge smoke cloud streaming down the coast from the Santa Barbera wildfires. I quickly dispatched to the beach for the sunset.

Heat Wave

Warm easterly winds brought high clouds most of the day. As the sun was setting, I made my way to the beach to record the event.

For an April evening, this was a really great sunset. Usually by now, there are not many clouds hanging around close to sunset. It is always clear skies all day long.

Flower Contest

Our photo club contest assignment this month was flowers. I waited for the longest time hoping a rain storm would blow in and make my job easier. It never happened.

I hunted around the neighborhood and settled on these two flowers to submit for the contest.

Warm April Eve

My good friend, Jack, lent me his 400mm f/2.8 lens with a 2X convertor. The closeups I took of the moon are really spectacular. This lens is most amazing.

April Storm

A couple of storms were forecast to hit the Los Angeles area this week. Both missed and no raindrops fell upon the South Bay.

I thought the storm clouds would produce a stunning sunset but I was wrong. Instead it left a lame sunset.

Spring arrives in California and people are heading to the beach. As days get longer, many take advantage on the swingsets and volleyball courts.
